What does '99.8% dust-free' actually mean?

For years, the biggest deterrent to refinishing hardwood floors was the mess. Sanding creates a massive amount of fine particulate matter that can settle in your vents, cabinets, and lungs. Our "99.8% dust-free" process changes everything.

1. It's not just a vacuum bag

Traditional sanding relies on a cloth bag attached to the machine. These bags only catch the large chips, while the fine, dangerous dust escapes back into your home. Our system uses a high-powered, truck-mounted or portable HEPA vacuum system that is directly connected to every sanding machine.

2. The HEPA difference

HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air. Our filters are designed to capture 99.8% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. This is the same technology used in hospitals to keep the air sterile.

3. Why 99.8% and not 100%?

We are honest with our clients. In a real-world residential environment, it is physically impossible to capture every single molecule of dust. However, the difference between traditional sanding and our process is like the difference between a dust storm and a clean room.

4. Health and safety for your family

Dust from old floor finishes can contain lead, VOCs, and other allergens. By containing the dust at the source, we protect your family and pets from breathing in these irritants.

5. Faster cleanup and better finish

Because there isn't dust floating in the air, it doesn't settle back into the wet finish coats. This results in a smoother, more durable, and more professional final result.
